JVIC History
JOINT VENTURE PIPING, INC. opened for business on March 12, 1998 as a specialty welding company. We opened our doors with only 4 full-time employees! We were located at 5129 Pine St. in Pasadena, Texas. We rented a bay from Kelson Industrial, which had a small shop and a few offices.
Within a few weeks, we had sent support welders to a job in New Mexico. At that time, we hired even more full time supervision. We also hired welders, pipe fitters, and helpers to do this job. Only a few months after we opened for business, we brought in a double wide trailer that the office staff worked out of. Our shop was steadily busy and we had field jobs at Lyondell, Chevron, and Shell going on.
We did a Cat turnaround at Valero Corpus Christi with a pre-turnaround starting in October of 1998. That was our first big turnaround. We have been rapidly growing and busy ever since, and in June of 1999, we purchased what is now our corporate office, on Sens Road in La Porte, Texas.
Joint Venture Piping continued to grow at such a rapid rate, that different groups other than piping started to emerge. These groups are all part of what is now known as JV Industrial Companies, Ltd.
Today, JVIC is an industry leader providing turn-key solutions for turnarounds, constrution, and fabrication across the country.
